Simply upload photos or videos captured by a drone and let Polycam handle the rest! We recommend using a minimum of 60 photos or a video that’s at least 1 minute. Then, we’ll process it and construct a 3D model that you can store, edit, and share within your Polycam account. Photogrammetry best practices apply.
Overlap, overlap, overlap! More photos mean better accuracy. Aim for 80% image overlap in all directions. Embrace grid patterns or pre-programmed missions for consistent coverage. Avoid harsh shadows and aim for even illumination for optimal reconstruction. Smooth, controlled flight is key. Minimize wind wobble and keep your drone level for clear, distortion-free images. With these tips, your drone will capture the perfect photogrammetry data for stunning 3D models.
All models you create with this tool will be automatically saved in your Polycam account. From within your account, you can edit your models, and export in 12+ formats to popular software such as Blender, SketchUp, Unreal, Unity, and more. You can also share your models with friends or colleagues by sending them a link.
Yes, it's free to upload up to 150 images or 3 minutes of video! If you need to process larger datasets or export your data in more formats you can upgrade to a pro plan. Our Basic plan is vastly cheaper than competing photogrammetry software and includes unlimited processing and exports.
