Measure the floor area in square feet, add 5–10% for cuts and waste, then divide by the square footage per box and round up. Rooms with lots of doorways, closets or angled walls need the higher end of that range. A Polycam floor plan shows every nook, so none get missed.
LVP is one of the most affordable hard-surface floors. Price depends on wear-layer thickness, plank size and brand. The calculator estimates the cost for your area, so you can set a budget before comparing products in store.
No, it's the same square footage. Measure wall to wall and leave out fixed cabinets and the toilet base. Vinyl is a popular choice for these rooms because it's water-resistant. Scanning with Polycam captures cabinet runs and fixtures, so you don't have to measure around them by hand.
A scan records interior and exterior dimensions, wall, window and door openings, room labels, furniture and fixtures, including the cabinets and fixtures vinyl has to fit around. Multi-floor homes come out as labeled 2D and 3D plans.
Standard interior captures are accurate to within about half an inch, enough to order vinyl plank without guessing. Space complexity, scan coverage and your device can widen that tolerance, so check and correct dimensions on site before you export.
